Introductory Page ... Writing ...
This website is to encourage would-be-writers to write, from a kernel of thoughts to a whole oak-tree of ideas - and writing in ways to encourage our potential for positive thinking; to show-case our day-to-day lives, which I hope here to share with you; whether in conversation about an issue that matters to us, or simply to annotate an idea, and comment on that. In fact, whatever we may feel strongly about and wish to discuss and to say something valid and from our point of view. It is only by communicating our ideas, through writing that we may begin to see ourselves in terms of a writing discipline. Garnering and indeed, governing such a discipline is essential in getting us through our daily writing lives.
There are one or two things we can do to improve our craft and potential for writing. Small steps such as creating a list of tasks and activities of things we may wish to accomplish, however, list poetically. For example, 'shopping' - coffee, tea, price, medium range, not too strong ; mild, ready for grinding and brewing and fresh to taste; fruit and vegetables, everything green and colourful place in the basket with care. Under other activities - 'swimming', to keep healthy, supple and strong - physique, important to maintain, and so on and so forth. If we are writing, write well.
Bigger steps may be writing a short excerpt on plans you may have in situ, which here you may wish to share, accomplishments you may hope to achieve, a holiday you have been looking forward to, a country you would like to visit and why. Writing a list or a daily synopsis of our daily lives and future prospects, reminders of our aims, goals and ambitions, or just a small note in celebration of the fact that we are alive and reading a very good book, listening to some wonderful music, watching a brilliant film, or a very good film we deem to be brilliant - and write about it - here, if you wish.
All of these prompts and much encouragement from me, should set us on a pathway towards achieving that which at first prompt may start as a scribble - you need to regulate your writing strategies, in other words, plan what you need to say and write it down - a little line here and there composed of words that add up to a sentence, then a paragraph and soon you will find that you are writing. It's important to nurture and care for your writing, to be consistent and coherent and to learn as you go. And, so, with a little more encouragement and resolve we can become the beginning of the first chapter of the firsts day of our writing lives.
Gaining perspective of our lives through writing should be our long term aim. Let me know what you think.
Good writing and good luck. Angela De Freitas

Following this introduction, there will of course be up-dates, very much along the lines as written about on the introductory page.
